Venue information
In 2019, Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens reopened to the public after a nine-year closure, following one of the largest garden restoration projects in England, and possibly Europe. This magnificent Grade I listed landscape was carefully brought back to life, preserving a place that had been close to being lost forever.
Today, these spectacular historic gardens are once again open for visitors to enjoy, reconnecting the local community with a place rich in shared memories and natural beauty. The estate continues to protect this important heritage so future generations can experience its diverse flora, fauna and green spaces.
The performance takes place on Leonardslee House Lawn, a stunning open setting with sweeping views across the South Downs, framed by the estate’s elegant 19th-century Italianate-style mansion, creating a truly atmospheric backdrop for open-air theatre.

We believe that theatre should be as accessible as possible and will be happy to talk to you about how we can make it accessible for you. If you have specific questions regarding your attendance at one of our performances please do not hesitate to get in contact with us so that we can help to welcome you. Contact details are here.
