Venue information
A Grade II listed mansion, Stubbings House was built in the reign of George II (1750) by Eric Ambler (Attorney General). Later additions were made to the house in the Victorian era. Stubbings is a stunning Grade II listed house which was also home to Queen Wilhelmina of Netherlands in WW2.
The walled gardens, previously the vegetable garden to the main house, have functioned as part of the retail nursery for the past 25 years specialising in mature, Topiary, and unusual plants.  The Café, overlooking the walled garden is a relatively new addition. Built on the site of a Victorian greenhouse, it has already established itself as a popular local destination serving Coffee/Tea and meals from breakfast to teatime.

Relaxed performances
We believe that all of our performances can be considered as relaxed. The lights don’t go down (until the sun sets!), the performances take place in the open air where there is plenty of space for audience members and all are welcome. We believe that theatre should be as accessible as possible and will be happy to talk to you about how we can make it accessible for you. If you have specific questions regarding your attendance at one of our performances please do not hesitate to get in contact with us so that we can help to welcome you. Contact details are here.

Other information
